DESCRIPTION:The 2024 Jake's Steel & Welding Rejex Classic Rally will take p
lace Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 August!  This year marks the 69th Anniversar
y of the inaugural Rejex Rally\, which took place in response to the Redex
Trial not coming to Darwin in 1955\, hence we were "Rejex".\n\n \n\nIf y
ou are not familiar with the Rejex Classic Rally\, it comprises cruising b
etween locations with navigational challenges\, questions and activities a
long the way.  There are also motorkhana-style driving tests at certain l
ocations.  Points are assigned for completion of all activities\, and the
re are awards for outright and handicap & class results based on vehicle a
ge.\n\n \n\nFor 2024 and in response to feedback we have introduced two e
ntry options:\n\n\n	Competitor - Rejex Rally: Persons registered under the
"Competitor - Rejex Rally" option shall be eligible for results in the ev
ent competitive activities.  This is the traditional event entry option.
You and your crew can register under this option and you can specify wh
o is going to be a competing driver (you may have multiple competing drive
rs per vehicle) and who is supporting them in the competition activities.
As well as eligibility for awards this option includes vehicle event st
ickers with competition number\, and for each person registered an event s
hirt and meals (lunch and dinner on both Saturday & Sunday\, and breakfast
on Sunday).\n	Attendee - Rejex Classic: Anyone who wants to join the soci
al fun of the Rejex but who does not wish to compete can do so in the Reje
x Classic.  This is NOT a competitive activity.  Each vehicle registered
for the Rejex Classic option shall receive vehicle event stickers without
any competition number section.  Each person registered shall receive an
event shirt\, event meals (lunch and dinner on both Saturday & Sunday\, a
nd breakfast on Sunday)\, and is eligible to participate in navigational a
ctivities if they wish whilst not being eligible for any awards.\n\n\n \n
\nThe intent of the Rejex Classic Rally is for enthusiasts of all ages and
motor vehicles of all eras to come together for a great social weekend of
driving.  For those who wish to do so and whom register for the "Rejex R
ally" option there are fun driving challenges.  Some of these shall be mo
torkhana-style courses and the driver may take it as easy as they wish.
Other challenges are designed to test the driver whilst providing a level
playing field for cars of all eras.  This has included activities such as
:\n\n\n	navigating a low speed slalom whilst trying not to spill a full cu
p of water held outside the vehicle\; or\n	determining the narrowst gap yo
ur car may fit through with more points deducted the greater the gap to th
 e vehicle body.\n\n\n \n\nDrivers of 12 (twelve) and older are eligible t
o register as Competitors\, but must hold a Motorsport Australia licence f
or the event.  Vehicles driven on transport stages (including trailers) m
ust be registered for on-road use and when on the road must be driven by a
person with a suitable NT or equivalent drivers licence.  The intent is
for vehicles participating in the Rejex Classic Rally to be driven through
out the event\, not trailered\, and Competitors may only earn full points
in the Rejex Rally if they make a genuine effort to drive their vehicle fo
r all parts of the event.\n\n \n\nEntry is $160 per person.  Please prov
ide details for each person attending and if using the "Competitor - Rejex
Rally" option indicate if they will be driving the vehicle as a competito
r or not.  Competing drivers are those attempting the driving tests and w
ill be assigned a competitor number.  If you are only sharing on-road dri
ving duties you need a valid road licence and can register for the event u
nder the "Competitor - Rejex Rally" option as crew and be eligible for awa
rds.  If you wish to attend and no one in your vehicle intends to compete
\, you may use the the "Attendee - Rejex Classic" option.\n\n \n\nAll com
peting drivers must have a Motorsport Australia Speed or higher licence fo
r the event.  If you don't have one a single event licence can be purchas
ed at event sign-on for $30.\n\n \n\nStay tuned for updates and spread th
e word to friends and family!\n\n \n\nIndicate "Going" on Facebook at www

2024\, with Round 2 on Friday 13 December 2024 and the final round on Thur
sday 23 January 2025.\n\n \n\nThis new format will see a random draw of d
rivers to battle each other in an Initial Stage to see who progresses to t

drivers waiting their turns can stay dry in the pit area and see the actio

te to be confirmed in January 2025.\n\n \n\nThis new format will see a ra
ndom draw of drivers to battle each other in an Initial Stage to see who p
rogresses to the Grand Final.  Drivers will compete head-to-head\, reduci
ng the need for timing in the event of rain.\n\n \n\nCourse results will
be based on the first of the two drivers to complete the course without pe
nalty (including finishing correctly).  The first driver to incur a penal
ty will be disqualified from that run and hand victory to their competitio
 n.  This means ANYONE COULD WIN!\n\n \n\nCourses will be setup so that s
pectators and drivers waiting their turns can stay dry in the pit area and
see the action.\n\n \n\nThis is an exciting new format and should be a l
ot of fun!\n\n \n\nEveryone who has paid for season entry for the 2024 NT
Motorkhana Championship is automatically entered in this event.  New com
petitors are extremely welcome!  Register now!\n\n\n\n\n \n\nBy register

ictory\, or just wish to come and try and have some fun\, you are welcome
to join in!\n\nEnsure you read the Supplementary Regulations before regist
ering.\n\nSingle event licences are available for casual participants.\n\n
Vehicle occupants must wear enclosed shoes and short or long sleeves on sh
irts are recommended (no singlets or strappy tops). Working seatbelts are
required for each occupant. Vehicles must pass a safety inspection - no le
aks\, no loose objects or apparent faults\, and rubber on tyres.\n\nEntry
is $40 for adults (18+) and $10 for juniors (12-17).\n\nSpread the word to
friends and family and join the fun!\n\nMotorkhana is a motorsport where
drivers attempt to navigate courses laid out with markers as quickly as po
 ssible. There are tight maneouvres\, handbrake turns\, reversing\, and a g
ood memory can help!  Megakhana extends on this to introduce straight lin
e acceleration & braking tests and short sprints on the Hidden Valley circ
uit with added slaloms to keep speeds low\, but to give a taste of on-trac
 k action!\n\nThe Darwin events involve production-based cars\, so anyone c
an join in and have the opportunity to do well. You do NOT need lots of po
wer or a specialised car or equipment. Some of the best performing vehicle
s in motorkhana are small hatchbacks.\n\nVehicle speeds are low and driver
s as young as twelve are eligible for the relevant licence\, so the Megakh
ana is a great way to develop driving skills\, car control and understand
vehicle handling before getting out on the road.\n\n\nRegister now!\n\n\n\

DESCRIPTION:The 2025 Jake's Steel & Welding Rejex Rally will take place Sat
urday 2 and Sunday 3 August 2025.  The event will start in Darwin on the
morning of Saturday 2 August and travel to Pine Creek for the night\, then
onto Katherine the next day.\n\n \n\nThis year recognises the 70th Anniv
ersary of the inaugural Rejex Rally\, which took place in response to the
Redex Trial not coming to the Top End\, hence we were "Rejex".\n\n \n\nIf
you are not familiar with the Rejex Rally\, it comprises cruising between
locations with navigational challenges\, questions and activities along t
he way.  There are also motorkhana-style driving tests at certain locatio
ns.  Points are assigned for completion of all activities\, and there are
awards for outright and handicap & class results based on vehicle age.\n\
n \n\nThe intent of the Rejex Rally is for enthusiasts of all ages and mo
tor vehicles of all eras to come together for a great social weekend of dr
iving and as well as a cruise on public roads there are low-speed driving
challenges at designated locations.  Some of these shall be motorkhana-st
yle courses whilst other challenges are designed to test the driver whilst
providing a level playing field for cars of all eras.  This has included
activities such as:\n\n\n	navigating a low speed slalom whilst trying not
to spill a full cup of water held outside the vehicle\n	following non-ver
bal directions from your navigator whilst they stand at the finish of the
course\n	determining the narrowest gap your car may fit through with more
points deducted the greater the gap to the vehicle body\n\n\nDrivers of 12
(twelve) and older are eligible to register as Competitors\, but must hol
d a Motorsport Australia licence for the event.  Vehicles driven on trans
port stages (including trailers) must be registered for on-road use and wh
en on the road must be driven by a person with a suitable NT or equivalent
drivers licence.  The intent is for vehicles participating in the Rejex
Rally to be driven throughout the event\, not trailered\, and Competitors
may only earn full points in the Rejex Rally if they make a genuine effort
to drive their vehicle for all parts of the event.\n\n \n\nRegistration
is open until Monday 30 June 2025.\n\n \n\nEntry is $160 per person.  Pl
ease provide details for each person attending and indicate if they will b
e driving the vehicle as a competitor or not.  Competing drivers are thos
e attempting the driving tests and will be assigned a competitor number.
If you are only sharing on-road driving duties you need a valid road lice
 nce\, not a Motorsport Australia licence.\n\n \n\nAll competing drivers m
ust have a Motorsport Australia Speed or higher licence for the event.  I
f you don't have one a single event licence can be purchased at event sign
-on for $35.\n\n \n\nA discount is available on accommodation to register
ed participants - contact rejexrally@gmail.com to get the code once you'v
e submitted your entry through this website.\n\n \n\nStay tuned for updat
es and spread the word to friends and family!\n\n \n\nIndicate "Going" on
